Visitors can now take a wooden staircase ( which has been restored after this original staircase was found within the walls ) to enter the Cathedral, with its unusual kind of tented roof and fine iconostasis from the 16th century and you can walk along the winding gallery, which is very narrow and covered in beautiful patterned paintwork.
There is a service once a year in the Cathedral, otherwise it is just a museum, but an usually colourful one that is definately worth seeing.
